ive had some fruit, guess i need more then what ive eaten. i really want the D back! lol wudnt of thought id say that! hope you are having a good day sue xXx
lol yeah D has its advantages. but then so does C lol. Try a good strong coffee (not instant, proper stuff) and a banana or two. or a bowl of porridge, something high in soluble fibre anway. The coffee just helps get things going a bit easier. good luck! enjoy being able to get out without having to worry where the nearest toilet is haha!
thanks heth, so far today i have eaten 3 nectarines and a banana and had little sucess, a couple of pebble shaped bowel movements, nothing else. im not a a fan of coffee, maybe i should drink it anyway! lol hope you having a good day xXx
A cup of coffee with a package of instant cocoa dissolved in it worked for me the last time I was having trouble. Usually a large Diet Pepsi works wonders--especially if you are washing down a large bowl of ice cream or dark chocolate. No kidding!!

Lynsey - ta for asking - actually it has been horrendous - tough morning at work, came back, thought why is the dog sopping wet (the sun had put in an appearance for once) - ventured into the house (where my 14 year old son was supposed to be "in charge") and found our 8 year old neighbour and my 5 year old daughter "floating" around with a sea of plastic containers and the hose in the kitchen - STRESSED was not the word!!!!! Anyhoo, a jam donut later (and GOD knows what that'll do for the old IBS) and a few hours for the stress to wear off, plus a good mop of the floor (by a very reluctant, grumpy son) - feel almost human again!!Phew - and you?????Sue

Lynsey - all the best to you and your bowels - reminds me of trying to "expel" my 2nd child - a very cobbled street, driving UP and DOWN about 10 times in Alderley Edge - did work in the end.Phew - what a day - celebrating with a LARGE Chinese - god knows what the bowels will make of that but what the hey.Sue

try massaging firmly your tummy going in a circle from your left side to your right. do this say 15 times slowly. SOunds silly but helps me sometimes. and it speeds up my D if im having an episode. maybe thats jus in my head htough. He ehee. Hope youre feeling better soon. xxx
thankd ele, im willing to give anything a go, and if it doesnt work for me then someone else may read this try it and it may help them. fingers crossed it helps me though

lol reckon its a bit hit and miss lol different things always seem to work at different times!know what you mean about the hot flashes always fun.
Sue hope you're feeling better too. Sounds like an interesting day! I've decided that as far as food goes, i'll eat what i like when i like. Although often i get it rammed down my throat when i really don't want it but you get the drift! No food in particular seems to set me off so why worry about? i might as well enjoy what i do eat
good old case of screw the ibs yet again!!!
