I appreciate all of the responses you have sent to me.Can you tell me if you ever can feel the spasms with your hands on your stomach? I can and do many times, in fact I try massaging them away. I am afraid! Scared half silly. My grandmother had stomach cancer so it is the first thing I think of, but I realize only through tests by a hospital and a good Gastrointestinal Doctor - can rule that out or confirm it. Please excuse my panic and I do mean PANIC!

Dorthea, that happened to me when I was put on a new med. I stopped the med and the contractions went away. Have you by any chance taken any new med or new herb? This could be the cause. Try to stay calm. Hope you feel better soon.

luckylou: No I havent been on anything new. When I had my hysterectomy a year ago, the doctor had me on Lomotril which didnt help me one bit. I do rely on Imodium from time to time to try to curb the " D " - but even that isnt working now. Yes I am at my wits end!

Dorthea, wish I could help you. When I get a real bad session of D, I go on the Brat diet for a few days. Bannanas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. It always settles my intestines down. Have you tried the Brat diet, it should help. Good Luck.

Maybe you're having a baby! GET TO A HOSPITAL!!! *L* I'm just kidding.I can sometimes see my stomach move when I have "contractions". I thought about it one day I felt a twitch on my belly, and I could feel it. Then it turned into a HUGE cramp. A minute later, another cramp. I thought "this is major", so I watched it. Sure enough. You could see my stomach actually going in... like a dent that's dragging all the surroundings in with it! It hurt like hell, but it looked neat.
