This is not my normal BM--these last few days they have been loose and VERY stinky. Can anyone tell me why they smell? Could this be gastroenteritis or some bug in my tummy. Had some indigestion and tummy upset this past week. No vomiting or real diarreah. My usual IBS is gas/bloating/normal to C to Loose. Something has upset my intestines--the only thing I can think of is that we changed from regular foods (Publix) to organic (whole Foods). You would think this eating would be better--but I'm a mess.Mainly curious about the smelly BMs.Tania

Most of the smelly compounds are sulfur based and produced by sulfur reducing bacteria. Maybe the change in diet changed the balance of your bacteria.K.
