Hello, I haven't been on this forum for a while, but I'm back with another "flare up." Just had my 5 year colonoscopy during another flare and got diagnosis of redundant colon, and splenic flexure syndrome. I also have outlet dysfunction. Ugh. I remember being told in the past that my colon is longer than normal but never heard the term redundant colon so I never looked it up before. I did now and this explains why things don't pass through easily. There is not a complete blockage but things back up in my transverse colon. Anyone with any experience correcting this, I sure would appreciate any comments.

i had a redundant colon, splenic flexure syndrome and outlet dysfunction. not fun at all. i tried biofeedback for the pfd but it didn't help me. and since none of the constipation meds available at the time helped me, i took stimulant laxatives.

hopefully you have a good gastro doc and he/she can can maybe prescribe one of the constipation meds like motegrity or zelnorm or maybe trulance and maybe one of these might help you. good luck.
