Hi, I am a student studying at McGill in Montreal, Canada. I, myself, have had IBS for about 6 years and it has fundamentally changed my life in so many ways. Finally I have learned to accept this syndrome more, and I seem to be happier these days. For years, I was incredibly self-conscious because of the symptoms and so constantly worried.I want to study more about IBS, so I've decided to do a research project on it. I study Anthropology and I am doing my project on how different people learn to live with the syndrome and the path which they take in seeking treatment. I am looking for people in the Montreal area who would be willing to be interviewed. Anything said to me would be coded in my report so that they will not be identifiable to any outside party. As well, depending on interest, I would like to set up a support group in the area. If anybody is willing to be interviewed and/or is interested in joining a support group, please e-mail me at annabatya###hotmail.com. Thanks.

I'm a year too late! I just graduated from McGill in 1999 and have moved to Vancouver. Just wanted to wish you luck with your project.
