Ugh, yes you can conciously do that no problem. Or you can just sit back relax when you have a minute in the day and use it as mental imagery with the thought of directing it to your gut without the tapes, but stick to the schedule, but remember part of this is practicing using communication between your brain and your gut, using imagery and thought.Hope that helps.------------------Moderator of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anxiety and Hypnotherapy forumI work with Mike and the IBS Audio Program. www.ibshealth.comwww.ibsaudioprogram.com
UGH,You can use the imagery anytime you need to.At this early stage it may help to relax as deeply as you can, then bring up the imagery. Once you do that, the subconscious mind will take over, using the imagery to do what it needs to do.This takes time and practice, so persevere. Remember, you're teaching your subconscious mind new thought patterns, having lived with IBS patterns for years. Your subC may fight this for a while, and you can read more about that in the "mind-armies" post.AZ
