I have a small area a little bit above my belly button on the left side that feels sore when I push on it. I thought it was a muscle at first, but now I'm not sure sure. Does anyone else have this, or have any idea what could cause it?

Is there any sort of bulge under the sore spot? If so, it could be a hernia. I had one develop inside my belly button on the site of laparoscopic surgery I had way back in 1986. I had to have it repaired this past November, and it set off such a flare-up... Susan

It doesn't really feel like a bulge, maybe a small lump at the most at times. I'll have to look into it being a hernia though. Thanks!
