Can anyone explain why I have so much trouble with soup? I get really bad D after having a hot bowl of it. Today I thought I could handle a bowl of chicken noodle soup, but I am regretting it now.

It may be an intolerance to a common soup ingredient. Since I'm fructose intolerant I have to avoid onions, and *all* prepared soups contain onion. If I want soup I have to make it from scratch.

If it was canned soup and the only thing you ate at the time, it is mainly water with no fiber content and may just have gone right through you, if there was nothing else in your gut at the time. Also the tempertures of ingested materials can sometimes set of IBS. Or as K said some people have a problem with MSG. There are many possible reasons for this.
