Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has come across a good substitute for Perdiem in the Yellow can? Since it has been discontinued (I have taken it for sooo many years) I have no idea what to try. I am IBS-C. s it true that C-type should not use citrucell or metamucil?? Thanks, Jody

I just posted a similar topic. I've heard that Citrucel is bad for people with C. I have been drinking it for months and it worked for a while. Now I am adding more natural fiber in the form of fruits and veggies, so I am wondering if taking the Cirtrucel is what is making me so unbearably C right now. You would think an increase in fiber would make me go more! Just the opposite! BM's are so hard to pass!What is your experience?

I use perdiem (brown can) and I'm BUMMED that Novartis is discontinuing it. I've called the company like several other people on the C board have. The perdiem yellow has senna in it and I believe there are several other products that have senna in it. I don't know what else is comparable to perdiem brown.

Hi, Well after reading every ingredient on every label this weekend, I have come up with NOTHING that is similar to Perdiem. Some of them have much more senna than the Perdiem yellow had, so I know I dont want that. If anyone comes up with anything please let me know!! thanks, Jody
