Sucess without caffeine?

Has anyone esle had any sucess by getting off caffeine? With my situation (IBS-D) it made since because bouts were mostly stress related. I guess getting rid of that minor stimulant allowed my gut to calm down a little (a little is a lot for us). I had been drinking about 3 cokes and a good bit of chocolate every day. I thoght about it one day after researching anti-depressants. Most literature said that for most IBSers, dosages were in small amounts as to not affect the brain significantly-just the gut (calming
). Caffeine was having a totally opposite affect on my gut (stimulating
).

I quit coffee completely, no soft drinks. I mostly drink just water and rarely 100% fruit juices. Cutting coffee has made a major improvement in my ibs.

I gave up on coffee. Makes be go to the bathroom sometimes right away. Instant is bad, brewed is really bad. I don't miss it but I'm sure alot of people must have their daily coffee.
