For the past month I have been having episodes of complete 24/7 bowel and bladder incontinence, coupled with weakness, fatigue, confusion, and parenthesis Due to such issues I have left work and my physician has put me on disability, due to the fact that she believes this is a neurological issue. However, my insurance company is denying my disability claim stating that I was previously diagnosed with IBD in the past year (pre-existing condition), and the episodes of incontinence are from IBD. I disagree with the insurance company due to all of the other symptoms I am having. Prior to this I did not have complete incontinence, or require the use of full time adult protection (diapers). Basically, is the insurance company correct? Can IBD cause both urinary and bowel incontinence, parenthesis (pins and needles feeling in the extremeties), and confusion?. To make matters worse, I cannot get an MRI as of yet because my insurance is in limbo, and I do not have any money until disability kicks in. Please advise.

Apparently it can cause bowel incontinence. Here read this:http://www.aboutincontinence.org/site/abou...f-incontinence/I cannot find anything that states it can causes bladder incontinence. Here is some info about bladder incontinence from the Mayo clinic:http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/urinary-i...DSECTION=causesI would go through whatever insurance hoops (appeals processes) you have to to get permission for approval of the MRI. One thing I have learned over the years... insurance companies HOPE you just give up.... so whatever you do... DON'T give up! Fight them.. have your Dr contact them or speak to their physcians ETC>>> It literally doesn't matter WHAT is causing it... an MRI is needed to figure out how to treat it! So fight!!!
