I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about some very interesting information that is available for a very limited time. It is called The Digestion Sessions which is hosted by Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness. Every two days there are new segments with 3-4 New people, including functional medicine practitioners and Naturopathic ones. It has been going on for a week or so and I think it runs through November 23? Anyway, these segments can be viewed free of charge during the two days they are shown. After that there is an option to purchase unlimited access to all of them.

I just watched 2 of the sessions that are running today and tomorrow. One is on the gut-brain axis and the other one is on gerd, constipation & reflux. The one on the gut-brain axis was probably the most interesting one so far and has some unusual advice for strengthening the migrating motor complex which is what determines how food moves through. One piece of advice was to gargle several times a day. But he talks about so much more, including possible connections to things like dementia, auto immune conditions- just way too much to mention but I think that if you only have time to watch one of these sessions, this might be the most interesting.

I have also noticed, while watching these sessions, that many of these people have mentioned that this information is available in medical journals. But as we all know, our Drs are not making use of this information and testing when we go to them for help.

The link I gave in my above post will always take you to the homepage which gives the schedule for upcoming sessions as well as what is currently running. Remember, these are free of charge to view for a very short time. Here are the links for two of the sessions that are running today and tomorrow.

Thanks!

Also, for anyone interested in SIBO, there is going to be a webinar with Dr Allison Siebecker who is one of the biggest experts on it. This is going to be tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1PM Pacific time, 4 PM Eastern time. You can go to Sean Croxton's facebook page to register. You can also submit a question for her. The 7 most liked questions will be answered on the webinar. Unfortunately I won't be home to view it. Hopefully there will be details about it afterwards.

The Q&A with SIBO expert Dr Allison Siebecker had technical problems so couldn't be viewed live yesterday. But you can still watch it here.

Also, some good new experts are on the Digestion Sessions today. Topics include GI motility disorders as well as the microbiome and weight gain. Some exercises you can do to increase motility are given.

One of the questions she answered was about whether someone should take anything to break up biofilms (such as Interfase Plus, for example and I am sure there are others). She said that she has not noticed any real benefits by taking them. However, I know that some of the natural antibiotics- such as Neem and Garlic- are said to be effective for bacteria and biofilms so that is something to bear in mind. In other words, you could be treating both issues without knowing it.

Just another heads up about the Digestion Sessions. They are coming to an end. Today they are showing the top 4 voted ones. They include Dr. Allison Siebecker who goes into great detail on SIBO and the very interesting Dr Datis Kharrazian who has some unusual ideas for stimulating motility. There is also a session about how to build good gut bacteria
