I am getting much painful gas while taking antibiotic. Has anyone been treated with NITROFURANTOIN (100MG)Brand name:Macrobid FOR URINARY TRACT INFECTION AND experience more painful gas? I am staying away from caffeine and taking 8 oz of yogurt daily to try and balance the gut bacteria.Any other ideas???

A probiotic supplement might be better than yogurt. Try something like VSL#3. Starch supposedly increases the amount of gas, so you could also try a low starch diet, see if that helps.
