I am 22 yrs old and have had IBS for a few years but just very recently was told that is what it is. I am not as bad a some of you sound but for the last 4 weeks I have never felt so horrible in my entire life. I can't eat normal or even walk very far. I am going crazy trying to feel better. I even find it hard to work. My doctor gave me Dicetel and it has been helping. My question is does anyone find it hard to walk or excersize at anytime. please reply to this. Thanks Winnie. It is from both pain and fatigue.[This message has been edited by Winnie (edited 08-14-2000).]

Hi! For me it is the fatigue that makes exercising nearly impossible. I have days when I can exercise, then days when I can barely get out of bed. I am trying nutritional supplements and vitamins to help with this. Is it the pain or the fatigue causing you to feel like this? You will find a lot of very helpful things on this BB. For the pain, I take ibuprofen, it helps a little bit but can be hard on your stomach. For fatigue, I have been told that spirulina, bee pollen, and protein supplements may help. I am just now trying them out.
