I'm new to the group, and I searched on this topic but didn't see anything. I'm wondering if anyone else experiences a low-grade fever and achiness from the back and down the legs after an IBS episode. My episodes occur only in the early morning hours, and the rest of that day I'm so worn out that I generally can't go to work. I've had a lower GI and colonoscopy and other tests, so my gastroenterologist feels certain that it is IBS I have. Thanks!

Yes, I do take my temperature and it's usualy between 99.5 and 100 And I think I just figured out the cause of the achiness - from sitting on the toilet for at least an hour straight! My episodes generally last about an hour, and I quickly learned that here was no use getting up from the toilet after each BM..
