I went to a new Doctor and was given a sales pitch buy by the nurse about vitamins and other junk. What is Ultra Clear Sustain? How could it possibly help inflamed intestines asuming thats what I have? Anyway the Doctors running Blood tests and suspects malapsorption. Been there, done that. Got my Librax presciption though.

Blair, I went thru the Ultra Clear sustain plus lots of other goodies because they tested me and found malabsorption. I got absolutely nothing out of it -- it contains lots of vitamins, minerals, etc. Nothing to hurt you, but then again I don't think there's anything to help you either. It costs lots and I've still got lots of packs in the house -- do you want me to send them to you? You can get back to me at phyllisfin###aol.com

Is this malabsortion due to chronic diarrhea or just the malabsorption we read abot in the books? I would agree if you have chronic diarrhea that you need to supplement your vitamins and minerals because you can't possibly be getting all you need if things are flying through too fast. but most doctors don't seem to be too concerned with this aspect of it. Mine isn't . I wish he'd suggest something like this for me. But you said it didn't help? Didn't help the diarrhea or what?------------------Judy

Chammomile and peppermint are anti-inflammatory herbs. There is a recipe for a medicinal tea made with these two herbs on the board. They calm and soothe the intestines. Please try the tea. It really worked for me and for others. Search the word "Boda" or "Bodum" (I can't remember which. You make it yourself with herbs purchased anywhere.

Sustain helped with nothing -- re malabsorption, I gather it is what is noted in the books. I still had the problems I had before I started. I'm now on acupuncture and caltrate plus and so far so good -- I just take one day at a time.

The malabsorption tests I had two years ago showing nothing unusual. I had a biopsy showing chronic mild inflamation of the small intestine. I didn't think the Ultra Clear was anything special because I've never heard of it on this board. I think it's hypoallegenic? Thanks for the tip on the teas. I like enteric peppermint caps. I like green tea also. With me its diet. I told the doctor that so lets see what he does. I have little faith in doctors anymore though. This boards much more helpful.
