What a question for a Wednesday morning ! I didn't think I would make it to work. They are doing construction work and there is a portable stop light I think it see's me coming and it stays red forever....Anyway, I have an appointment with a new Doctor this afternoon so that might be some of the problem . I am going to have to tell him about this 30 year problem with IBS and I guess I am afraid that he won't understand but I guess it's up to me to make him listen. Hey ! maybe it's more anxiety than anything else....back to the porcelin throne ... I think I might be able to handle IBS if the pain didn't go along with it...

Oh dear I feel for you I think thats why there are so many McDonalds around so we have a place to slip unoticed into a bathroom and not feel pressured to buy anything-- Hopefully your new doctor will be sympathetic and be able to help you.

DJ, I hope your new doc is just wonderful. But, do keep in mind that if he isn't then, guess what? You can fire him! Never settle for anything less than excellence and you'll probably get it. Good luck!

DJ - good luck with your new doctor! I went and got a new one too & am very satisfied! One must keep looking until they get results. My old doctor told me I had IBS & basically sent me home to live with it! Nice, eh? The new physician I've found is excellent. She is trying to help me control this IBS with various ideas & seeing me regularly to see how I'm doing. The point is, we are working together to find a solution - something my old doctor didn't seem to want to do.If you're not satisfied, look for another one.hmmmmmmmmm - yes, I much prefer McDonalds or some such place for my bathroom emergencies! Theres nothing worse than going into a place where everybody NOTICES when you enter & leave the washroom - you feel so centered out! The McDonalds type of place is great because no-one really even takes notice of you & that makes me feel much more comfortable - I can take as long as I want - no pressure & no embarassment!
