Does anyone know if the antidepressant Wellbutrin helps IBS at all? My doctor has prescribed it for depression but I also have D-type IBS. Just wondering if anyone has taken it.
I took it as the only way in hell to finally get off a severe lifelong cigarette addiction. Since I was in IBS remission due to a successful rotation-elimination diet at the time so it was easy to discern if it had any effect on my symptoms of IBS (d-predominant shifteing to cyclice periodically when i was active).Personally it had no discernible effect on my bowel function. Everything remained status quo.MNL______________ www.leapallergy.com [This message has been edited by Mike NoLomotil (edited 07-05-2001).]
