Hi, I've been reading a lot of the posts on this board and noticed that there are a lot of women who have endo and ibs. I was diagnosed with endo and ibs about 10 years ago and 1 year ago respectively. My endo was cleaned up from a lap done in '99 but after developing ibs, my endo is back and I have the worst cramps during ovulation and when my period starts. I've read that some women w/endo are taking the pill to combat against this terrible pain. Any advice you can share as to what specific type of bc pill works best would be greatly appreciated. Also, patch vs. pill, which has the least side effects. I'm ibs-d. Thank you!

I have both, too (with two previous laps). My doctor says that a MONO (meaning ONE) phase pill is bet. Things like Orth-Tricyclin have you on 3 different hormone levels so your body is on a roller coaster. She put me Orth-Cept which is the one phase BCP by the same manufacturer. Kinda makes sense!
