I was diagnosed with IBS-D 4 years ago. I was incredibly lucky as my symptoms have largely resolved over the last year. I think in hind-site and from what I now know I may have had a severe dysbiosis/ chronic bug, but either way I'm blessed things have now greatly improved for me. During then and since, I have been studying health sciences and natural medicine and specifically GIT-health, mostly focusing on food intolerance and of course IBS.

From my experiences I have been driven to try to help others going through what I went through, I was so stressed out and overwhelmed, I think now, that If I can help others wade through the online jungle of mis/information, I thought that would be a great contribution to others. So, I am currently developing blog content, which I want to be really useful and most of all helpful to sufferes of IBS and multiple food intolerances sufferers.

I have started researching and writing material which I intend to format into simple video and/or blog downloadable information so it's a bit of a one stop shop. I know I certainly spent years bouncing around the web for information and help which didn't really give me any real guidance.

I was planning to include things like the below:

*Information on the testing currently available and what to expect.

*what questions to ask your doctor

*Step by Step guide - from symptoms to your doctors office?

*general informative videos on IBS, the microbiome, and digestive system to help empower and educate people

*conduct interviews with specialists

*Real advice & research on over the counter treatments /nutrients/ herbs - not from product placement!!

1/ I would love to know what your honest thoughts are on this idea? ..... Would you find it beneficial?

2/ What would you personally find really helpful?

3/ or what would make your life easier?

Thanks

Luc xx

hi luc,

i agree that there is a lot of misinformation online. From reading articles on unreliable sources i was lead to believe that i had candida for around a year, during which i wasted a lot of money and time on treatments that didnt help (and perhaps made things worse).

I think that what youre wanting to do is a great idea. I would be interested in any site that gives reliable info and links studies.

when i was intially diagnosed with IBS years and years ago when i was about 18, i felt like I wasnt given any sort of info or guidelines or anything. I felt like i was just told i had ibs and nothing else. so i think what youre doing is great.

I think especially a list of treatments and remedies would be amazing, especially if they are put together with real peoples experiences of using them. cause im sure one of the first things people look for are remedies. and im sure we have all spent loads on these random things.

maybe it would be good to have a list of used products saying how many people have used this and this, and what it actually did for them?
