It would help me to hear what your symptoms are with constipation. I have been IBS-D but have recently seemed to be heading towards some alternation. I remember what constipation felt like when I was little, when I was 'normal,' but NONE of my body's signals are normal now, and I have a hard time 'reading' things and knowing what's going on and what causes what.

Boy, for me, constipation is fairly normal now. Generally, I have pain on both sides of my abdomen, bloating, and sometimes gas. I feel full a lot of the time. I'm not quite sure what else to say, I'm better at knowing when I'm going to have "d".

Sometimes I don't know when I am constipated. It will come on suddenly out of nowhere where I am having to go NOW and then am in there forever due to being so constipated. Sometimes I will get slight cramping off and on the day before an attack. That is a clue to me that something is going on. I also get D.. it alternates.... and I will get the cramping with that also. I also feel "full" and bloated and really gassy. I rely on my gas-x when I am feeling that way and will take immodium for the D sometimes, if it is really bad.
