I had a whole bunch of tests about 8 years ago and was diagnosed with IBS at the time, with severe daily diarrhea. I had an upper and lower GI (barium enema), colonoscopy, IVP, MRI, 6 hr glucose and lactose tests, and bloodwork. Nothing was found. In the past year my IBS has worsened, and now, at 5 mos pregnant, I'm back to 3-4 days of diarrhea per week, crampy but not bloody or mucousy. My gut hurts virtually all the time. My doc says I'll probably need to go back to the gastroenterologist for testing after my baby is born (until then, I get to suffer.) What tests do you think it is likely they will repeat? Is it possible to have allergy testing while I am pregnant?
