Well, as happens frequently, I take a lot of Immodium and am plugged up for days. How many days should I get worried and perhaps take a lazative? I think the most I have ever gone is five. I just worry that it hurts my system to be backing up like that... Then it's usually a normal bm followed by more D, then I repeat the cycle. I start getting concerned after a few days of nothing though, (but prefer it over the D by far).
When should I start to worry?

you are taking far too many immodium, it should wear off ideally in a day, two most.... 5 is not good as you are doing it with meds you may be causing damage. Only take as many immodium as you need you seem like you maybe taking twice as many...i used to have to take 8imoodium a day, everyday. now i take around 4 but if im not ill, i dont take them unless im going on an alday field trip with few loos and i "need" them.taking lazatives when you are taking anti diarhoeals is not a good idea as the more immodium you take when you dont need them the higher the chance of them not working when you od

just lower the dose and try some diet control
Try LNAPES advice of taking calcium carbonate (Caltrate). You may be able to wean yourself off immodium. I got backed up like you for about four days and had similar immodium cycles. Now on calcium carbonate, I only occassionally need one or two immodium.
