Okay, so I've never really gotten the complete details of my problem, but I'll try my best.I was born with an intestinal problem, something to do with the nerves in my colon not working correctly. My parents had to take me to a bunch of different docters to see what was wrong, and I would always be throwing up and in pain. I think when I was 3 or so I was subscribed something called Sisapride(I'm not sure if that's spelt right) which worked great, but it was tooken off the market. So after that is when it got really bad again. I wouldn't have a bowel movement for 2-3weeks, and when I did it would come along with major constipation. I'd be up all night trying to go to the bathroom, I remember I once fell asleep standing up(leaning against the wall) I was so tired. The toilet would always get clogged, and (sorry to disgust you all) but it would normally be a foot or so long, and a few inches thick. After a while it sort of become a natural thing, and being young I didn't really think too much was wrong. When I got older though, it was just a huge hastle. I would always be worried when I went away from home, not wanting to mess up other peoples toilets, or disgusting them. It was really hell sometimes, I would cry and cry with the frustration and pain. Luckily I don't think it was as bad as some other people here, there was never any throwing up, only a little bit of acid.Anywho, just a year or so ago I started taking something called Polyetheline Glycol 3350, NF Powder for Solution" which was a stool softener, and my docter said I had a megacolon because of all the years of constipaton. It's worked great so far, and when my bowel movement started becoming more regular, I remember asking my mom how often one was supposed to go to the bathroom, and when she said, every day or so, my jaw literally dropped, lol. So it has helped, but I think I have to figure out a diet and exercise routine to maxamize the results, because it's still bad sometimes. I don't want to depend on the medicine though, or have to have surgery or anything. So, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem close to this, with the nerves and all. This forum has been incredibaly helpful, but I still haven't found someone else with a problem more similiar to mine.
