LAK, I had a hysterectomy about 6 years ago and I had no problems. Though I didn't have IBS before the surgery,and 4 years later I do. In my case it didn't start the IBS, and I am not sure it will help. Hope all goes well for you. My hysterectomy was the best thing to happen to me. God Bless Shannon
I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. It didn't help my IBS (D), but at least when I had menstrual cramps & PMS the pain I had with my IBS was as worse as it could get. I would be in so much pain then I couldn't function, it was unbearable. So, in a way it did help. I am also glad I had this done. No more horrible cramps and I feel saner.
