Sorry, I haven't taken Zelnorm, so I don't have an answer. But try the Zelnorm forum (use the "Hop To" scroll function at the bottom of the page: the forum is called 5-HT4).

I tried Zelnorm and had diarreha and gas. Read that it is 33% lactose. Being lactose intolerant wouldn't this med create a problem? I stopped taking it w/o docs advise. Since the colonoscopy movements have not been regular. I take donnatal for spasm. Anyone with similar experience?
